A man was airlifted to a hospital after he was attacked by an alligator in Sumter County.
The 58-year-old man was attacked by the gator while along County Road 311 in Bushnell Tuesday evening.
The 8 to 9 foot gator injured the man's right leg.
He was airlifted to Ocala Regional. No word on his condition.
Florida Fish and Wildlife confirms the gator was captured and euthanized.
No word on what happened that led to the attack.
Officials have not released the man's name.
