Sumter County's sheriff's office has a new puppy and they want your help to name it.

The sheriff's office announced the arrival of the 11-week-old male Bloodhound this week from the Hardee Correctional Institute.

The puppy will go through intense tracking and scent detection training over the next year.

Right now the sheriff's office is asking for name suggestions for the puppy on the agency's Facebook page. There are currently hundreds of suggestions currently posted, including Kojak, Trooper, Brazin and Jager.

Head to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page to submit your own name. The agency will announce the chosen name on Monday.
