After being in the hospital for about two weeks, a man struck by lightning earlier this month in Volusia County is finally home.
James Church, 55, continues to recover after being struck by lightning while fishing in Ponce Inlet earlier this month. Church said the bolt struck his pole while he was casting out his line.
"I have burns all the way down my arm," Church said Monday. "I lost, in my stomach, all three colons. A lot of it is gone. I have a hole ... where the pole went through and I have burns all the way down."
Church's family has set up a GoFundMe account to help with medical bills.
