"The business opportunities aren't just for people who are cultivating cannabis or selling cannabis," said Peter Sessa, chief operating officer of the Florida Cannabis Coalition.

Sessa said the industry goes way beyond the dispensaries.

"Everyone from a legal team to package-maker, to someone who puts on labels — they are going to be able to service this industry. This is an industry that is going to create over 300,000 jobs by 2020," he said, citing a Forbes article.

While many people interested will be attending, a number of speakers are set to discuss a number of educational topics. Roz McCarthy is with Minorities for Medical Marijuana, and she said they are working to make the industry more diverse.

"So, we are not even talking about just brown, black, red, yellow," McCarthy said. "We have a slew of women who want to be in the industry. We have a slew of veterans who want to be in the industry. We have a slew of disabled business owners who may want to be in the industry."

Patients and their advocates will also be in attendance, like Jacel Delgadillo.

Delgadillo's son suffers from epilepsy, and she continues to push for broader legislation.

"The fact that they only have the set amount of dispensaries to give out the medication, it aggravates me because we need more," Delgadillo said.

The entire conference is a melting pot for all business ideas and where the Florida industry is heading.

"We are looking to this as the future of entrepreneurship of business," Sessa said.

The main theme of the conference's second day will be epilepsy. Delgadillo is going to be honored for her as she continues to advocate in the state of Florida.

Anyone interested in the two-day conference must sign up. For more, go to the website.
