Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for the rest of the workweek:

  • Warm temperatures continue in Central Florida
  • Wednesay's highs will be in the upper 80s
  • Rain chances return to the forecast Friday
  • SEE BELOW: See our 7-day forecast

We had plenty of sunshine Tuesday afternoon as temperatures climbed quickly into the 80s. Some spots even made it into the upper 80s. We’ll continue to keep unseasonably warm conditions over the next few days with highs in the 90s possible.

Our best chance for any rain swings by Friday afternoon, and we’ll take anything we can pick up in the gauges.

A weak, but large area of high pressure continues dominating our pattern, allowing dry air to remain in place and temperatures to quickly climb.  Areas of fog and smoke will be with us again Wednesday morning, and will create visibility issues in some of the same spots we had problems Tuesday morning.

Sunny and hot conditions are with us through Thursday, with highs in the low to mid 80s at the coast, mid to upper 80s inland. A strong system to our north Friday has us bumping rain and rumble chances to 40 percent, with another chance for rain early next week.

Wave heights are looking pretty good for Wednesday, occasionally pushing up to head high. Anticipate a fun easterly swell early, and even though the swell eases a bit in the afternoon, we should still be able to catch some decent waves. The east coast rip current threat is forecast to stay moderate, so keep an eye on your fellow swimmers. Our UV index is very high. Under 20 minutes for a good burn.
