Pence will examine the center's work as a spaceport for commercial and government clients, along with NASA's progress in building the next generation spacecraft.

Members of the council will include several members of the cabinet, the head of NASA, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the national security adviser and the director of national intelligence.
