A state of the art Spacecraft parts manufacturing facility opened its doors Tuesday in Titusville, bringing jobs and growth to the area.

"This is the only place in the world where we can assemble satellite panels within hours,” OneWeb founder Greg Wyler said.

Now open for business -- RUAG is working together with OneWeb to help manufacture satellites.

RUAG will be creating structures for the satellites, while OneWeb will build the satellites on site.

That's a game changer. Normally satellites take millions of dollars to build and months to create.

That’s not the case with these satellites. The company says it will only take one day to make three satellites, cost a little over $500,000 to make them, and creates more than 600 jobs.

OneWeb says they plan to manufacture and launch 900 satellites into orbit. The satellites will offer broadband internet service worldwide.

"All of this will combines to build the world's largest satellite system to provide internet to emerging markets and the billions of people without access today,” Wyler said.

RUAG says they will start production within the next few weeks.

Once production is done OneWeb, says they’ll be launch those 900 satellites into orbit over a two-year period.
