The boil-water notice put in place for the entire city of Holly Hill earlier this week was rescinded Thursday morning.

The notice was put in place after a large water main broke on LPGA Boulevard on Monday, and the water plant was shut down.

The main was repaired, but the boil-water notice was kept in place until bacteria testing could determine that city water was safe to drink.

Holly Hill officials said Thursday that the notice had been rescinded.
