The Central Florida community continues to show its support for people in Texas as several groups will be driving west to drop off donations they have received.

However, there is still time to donate. People can drop off donations through Sunday at Belle Isle City Hall in Orange County.

City hall opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Toiletries, nonperishable food and supplies for children are needed

On Sunday, organizers will drive west with the supplies.

The I-4 to Texas Relief Effort started on Wednesday as the community reacted to what was happening in the Lone Star State.

"We had over 250 shares of the flier within 24 hours, we knew we were really seeing people come together," said Randy Ross, organizer.

Ross and Cheryl Hall were watching the news on Sunday when the images from the devastation in Texas shocked them both.

"Seeing the seniors in that photograph being surrounded by water, my mom is 74 and she is fearful of water and she doesn't know how to swim. I couldn't imagine her being in that environment, but more importantly they kind of sat there like it was normal, so I thought we have got to do something," said Ross.

Ross and Hall plan to load a truck full of donations on Sunday and then drive to Texas to hand-deliver it to the shelters.

They are just one group, out of several in Central Florida, heading west.

The Central Florida Jeep Club is driving to Texas on Friday after they filled a 53-foot semi-trailer with donations.

Two local groups from Pine Hills are also driving to hard-hit areas in Texas after filling a U-Haul truck with donations.
