The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is investigating an overnight shooting that left two men injured.
Deputies were called out to 2815 County Road 426A in Lake Panasoffkee around 1 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting.
There they found two men with gunshot wounds.
Deputies said the two men got into an altercation after one of the men came to the home armed with a firearm. During the physical altercation, shots were fired resulting in multiple gunshot wounds to both men.
Both men were airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center for their injuries, which do not appear to be life threatening at this time, deputies said. Both are listed in stable condition.
Deputies are currently investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
