A man has been charged in the shooting of his roommate, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened at a residence on Alder Avenue in Altamonte Springs on Saturday.
Deputies responded to the residence after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, deputies found 32-year-old Isiah Dennis with a gunshot wound.
Dennis was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Deputies said Dennis’ roommate, 29-year-old Dennis Mijares Diaz shot him during an argument over rent.
Several pellets from the shotgun Diaz was holding struck Dennis in the shoulder, deputies said.
Diaz was taken into custody and charged with first-degree premeditated homicide.
He was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
