Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run crash where a pedestrian was struck and left injured.

According to Sgt. Kim Montes, the vehicle, described as a red passenger vehicle, was traveling southbound on Derbyshire Road.

A pedestrian was walking in an unknown direction along the road, when the right side of the vehicle struck the man.

Troopers say the passenger side mirror is missing from the vehicle, and there is front damage to the right side of it.

The man was transported to Halifax Medical Center and is in critical condition.
