Boston Dynamics' website describes the SpotMini as a "small four-legged robot that comfortably fits in an office or home." It can pick up and handle objects. A video of the first generation SpotMini had the robot putting a glass in a dishwasher and picking up trash — and slipping on banana peels.
The video has spurred a flurry of reactions on social media, with people in awe.
Earlier this year, Boston Dymanics showed us Atlas, a robot originally created for the U.S. military that can do backflips.
Softbank acquired Boston Dynamics earlier this year from Alphabet, the parent company of Google.
