Jurors found Bob Ward guilty of manslaughter Thursday in the death of his wife, in the retrial of the former Isleworth millionaire.

Ward sat quietly as the verdict was read, but a family member in the gallery cried out.

Sentencing will be held Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.

Ward's wife, Diane, was shot dead in their mansion in 2009. The defense argued that the shooting was a tragic accident, and there's reasonable doubt that it was Ward who pulled the trigger.

Prosecutors, meanwhile, said there's no proof there was a struggle or that Diane had the gun that was fired.

Attorneys made their closing arguments Wednesday, and then jurors began deliberating. Ward declined to take the stand.

Jurors returned to the Orange County courtroom Thursday and spent the first couple of hours taking a closer look at the gun used to kill Diane. Following a lunch break, the jurors picked up where they left off, reviewing all the evidence in this case all gathered nearly 10 years ago.

In December 2011, Ward was sentenced to 30 years in prison for Diane's killing. But following his first conviction, it was revealed some of the evidence in Ward's favor was not brought up.

In February 2016, he was granted a retrial, with the judge agreeing that Ward received ineffective counsel during his trial.
