Central Florida’s forecast seems rather rinse and repeat, as we wake up with areas of dense fog, then warm up under a mostly sunny afternoon sky.

A rather stout area of high pressure stretched across the state is keeping us in a fairly stagnant weather pattern, with morning fog and afternoon warmth.

We’ll have a clear and starry sky overnight, with areas of dense fog dropping visibility down to under a quarter-mile in spots toward sunrise. We burn the fog off by mid-morning with sunshine taking hold, and this pattern takes us right into the middle of next week.

Highs along the coast will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s, with low to mid-80s inland. Temperatures are forecast to stay around 10 degrees above seasonable levels, and no big drops are expected in our extended forecast.

The ridge keeps fronts well to our north, although an increase in deep moisture from time to time might lead to an isolated shower from Tuesday into the end of next week.

If you are trying to pick a weekend day to catch a few waves, it looks like Saturday might be the best bet.

Wave heights will be running thigh to stomach high, with a lingering easterly trade swell. Wave heights come down to one or two feet Sunday, with poor to fair surfing conditions overall.

Grab the sunscreen and be sure to reapply, as our UV index remains high.
