The #6 Wekiva Mustangs continued their historic season of "firsts" by throttling the #14 Lake Mary Rams 51-0 to win their first-ever playoff game. The Mustangs have now beaten their crosstown rivals Apopka, won a district title, hosted a playoff game and won a playoff game, all for the first time and all within the span of three weeks.

Wekiva senior quarterback Brandon Williams rushed for 144 yards on 15 carries and was named the Spectrum Sports Player of the Game.
Williams accounted for 4 touchdowns as he led the Mustangs to 416 total yards.

Wekiva senior athlete Jarvis Ware returned the second half kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown that led to a running clock for the entire second half.

The Mustangs held the Rams to 119 total yards and corralled senior quarterback Brandon Brown all night. Brown finished with 107 total yards and had an interception.

Lake Mary finishes their season with a 7-4 record and has now turned the ball over 11 times in their 4 losses and has only turned it over twice in their 7 wins.

Wekiva (10-1) now advances to the 8A Region Semifinals and will host Boone next Friday night.
Boone defeated Flagler Palm Coast 28-13 for their first playoff win in 9 years.
