The Tampa Bay Rays revealed their plans on Wednesday for their 20th anniversary campaign for the 2018 season. They include a logo patch, alternate jerseys and caps and tributes to two special teams in franchise history.

“We are excited to celebrate 20 years of playing Major League Baseball in Tampa Bay,” said Rays Principal Owner Stuart Sternberg. “The festivities this year will bring smiles to faces as we recall the many colorful moments and incredible accomplishments of the last two decades."

The Rays will wear a white alternate throwback Devil Rays jersey on March 31, June 9, June 23 and Sept. 8. On those dates, and select home and road games, the team will also wear a retro cap that blends the original and current designs and features a large fish emblem and a modified 20th anniversary patch.

Tampa Bay will pay tribute to the 1998 team on March 31 in a game against the Red Sox. Several members of the inaugural 1998 Devil Rays Opening Day roster will be in attendance.

The Rays will celebrate the 2008 American League Championship club, with several of those alumni in attendance, on Saturday, Aug. 4 against the Chicago White Sox.

The team announced the following promotional giveaways: Rays Schedule Magnet and 20th Anniversary Cowbell (Opening Day), Carl Crawford bobblehead (April 14), a Fred McGriff and Tino Martinez bobblehead (June 9), Rays & Devil Rays Reversible Jersey (June 23), Wade Boggs bobblehead (Aug. 25) and Dan Johnson bobblehead (Sept. 29).

The Rays will offer 2-for-$20 tickets in the party deck for half their home games. Tickets for the other half of games will be $20 each.
