Felix Albuerne is a digital media producer in the Pinellas County newsroom web center.

Felix is a Florida native, originally born and raised in Miami. He's a graduate of Miami Country Day School, and earned his Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at the University of Miami in December, 1995.

He went on to complete a Master's in English from the University of Central Florida in 2001, and in 2010 completed a certification in Radio and TV broadcasting from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting's Orlando campus.

Before joining the Spectrum Networks digital team, Felix worked in podcasting and terrestrial radio. He worked for CBS Radio for almost five years, starting with a summer 2010 internship on WOMX-FM MIX 105.1's "The Morning MIX" with Scott McKenzie.

After two years at WOCL-FM 105.9 SUNNY FM as a morning show producer, Felix made the move to the Bay area to work at WHFS-FM 98.7 The Fan in May 2013 as a digital producer and part-time on-air talent.

When The Fan switched formats in December 2014, Felix moved from sports radio to traffic reporting, working as a traffic producer for Total Traffic and Weather Networks in Tampa.

January 2016 brought a long-hoped for transition for radio to television when Felix joined the digital media producing team based in Bay News 9's web center.

Since 2009, regardless of where he was working, Felix has been writing about contemporary film. A proud and passionate Star Wars fan, Trekkie, comic book geek and all-around pop culture wonk, Felix can talk movies both mainstream and arthouse until he loses his voice.

Felix resides in St. Petersburg.
