TAMPA, Fla. -- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is hiring for its upcoming Howl-O-Scream event.

• Busch Gardens hiring scare actors for Howl-O-Scream
• Some actors will be required to wear make-up or a mask
• To be considered, must attend an audition

The theme park is looking for performers who can "startle and scare guests."

For some of the positions, scare actors will be required to wear make-up or a mask.

Position pays $9.75 an hour, according to the job posting. 

To be considered, applicants must at least 18 years old and attend an audition.

Busch Gardens will hold auditions on Aug. 24 at 3 p.m. and Sept. 1 at 11 a.m.

Howl-O-Scream will feature several haunted houses and scare zones, including Simon's Slaughterhouse and Motel Hell.

The event runs select nights from Sept. 21 to Oct. 28.
