The celebration, which kicks off February 9, will feature Cajun-style dishes--returning favorites and few new additions.

New dishes include crab etouffee and catfish po boys. Returing dishes include gumbo, jambalaya (with or without shrimp), red beans and rice, beignets. Universal will also be offering twisted taters -- fried potatoes with a Cajun seasoning.

Dishes will be served in what Universal is calling "tasting sizes." All items will be available starting at 4 p.m. in the French Quarter Courtyard area of Universal Studios.

In addition to food, the event will feature a variety of specialty cocktails including the Carnival Cocktail, Ragin' Rumbalaya, Vicious Voodoo and craft beer options. A new addition to this year's festivities is a mimosa bar that will feature caramel apple, raspberry rosemary, and mojito mint flavors. For those looking for a non-alcoholic option, Universal is offering the Bayou Bog Water, which is a mix of lemonade and ginger ale with blueberry boba beads.

Universal is also offering tasting lanyards this year, giving people a chance to try different items. Five-item lanyards cost $30, while 10-item lanyards will go for $50. Passholders can get a special 15-item lanyard for $60.

The event will also include live concerts on select nights. Musical acts set to perform include Pitbull, Mackelmore, Sabrina Carpenter, Bush and more.

Universal's Mardi Gras runs through April 4.
