ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating the birth of two baby animals.

  • Two baby animals recently born at Disney's Animal Kingdom
  • Baby zebra and a baby Angolan colobus monkey

A baby Hartmann’s zebra and a baby Angolan black-and-white colobus monkey were born at the park earlier this month.

The baby zebra, which hasn’t been named yet, was born on January 21 to mother Prima. The male foal weighed about 65 pounds at birth.

Right now, the baby zebra is bonding with its mother backstage. Eventually, he’ll be introduced to other zebras before joining the herd on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

On to another animal birth at the park. On January 15, a male Angolan black-and-white colobus money was born at the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. The monkey named Douglas is the second in his family to be born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
