ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney World, Universal Orlando and other Florida theme parks won Golden Ticket Awards from the publication Amusement Today, including a best roller coaster award to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for Iron Gwazi.

The awards, which shine a spotlight on the theme park industry, were the results of an international poll. 

Disney nabbed a Golden Ticket in the best new attraction category for Epcot's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios also received an award for best dark ride. 

Over at Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Florida was recognized for its popular Halloween Horror Nights event, which was named best Halloween event of 2021. 

SeaWorld Orlando also received a Golden Ticket Award. The park was named best wildlife/marine park.  Busch Gardens, SeaWorld's sibling theme park, received the award in the best new roller coaster category for its Iron Gwazi attraction. 

“It delivers an out-of-control experience like no other in Florida,” Amusement Today said of the coaster.

Amusement Today bestowed Golden Ticket Awards in 27 categories to various parks around the world. Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, was named best park overall.
