ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The changes continue at Disney World as more road signs featuring the new blue and yellow color scheme are installed around the resort.

What You Need To Know

In the last few weeks, new signs have been installed on Osceola Parkway. The overhead signs provide directions to U.S. 192 as well as Disney’s Hollywood Studios and ESPN Wide World of Sports. Some of the roadside signs along Western Way have also been updated with the new color scheme.

The blue and yellow-colored signs replace the iconic purple and red signs that were installed across Disney World property in the 1990s.

Disney World first debuted the new blue road signs earlier this year, with the first one appearing on Osceola Parkway. The signs included directions to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The road signs are just one of the ways Disney World is updating and refreshing different elements around property.

The Walt Disney World road archways also were updated with a blue and gold color scheme ahead of the resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, which kicked off Oct. 1, 2021.

The new archway designs dropped the tagline “Where Dreams Come True” for “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

It’s unclear when all the road signs will be replaced as Disney World hasn't given an exact timeline. In a social media post earlier this year, Disney said more of the new signs would be installed “this year and beyond.” So with more than 1,000 signs across property, it could take a while.
