ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Here are five things to know about the Museum of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg's newest exhibition, "Jewels of the Imagination", which showcases the unique artistic vision and craftsmanship of French jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger.

  1. Schlumberger's pieces have been featured in high-end jewelry stores such as Tiffany's & Co.
  2. The exhibit is divided into two parts. The first part, "Drawn to Beauty," shows Schlumberger's process from his first sketches to the final product. The second half of the exhibit showcases pieces specifically created for famed philanthropist, horticulturalist, and arts patron Rachel Lambert "Bunny" Mellon.
  3. In case that name doesn't ring a bell, you'll for certain recognize one of the gardens she's best known for redesigning and planting: The White House Rose Garden.
  4. The exhibit, which contains 135 pieces from what was Mellon's collection, is the largest public collection of Schlumberger's work in the world. Its appearance at the MFA of St. Petersburg marks the first time the collection has traveled out of state since it premiered in Virginia.
  5. The MFA of St. Petersburg will host "Jewels of the Imagination" until March 31.
