TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay History Center has created a “Museum at Home” tab on their website featuring many different offerings for people to enjoy while the museum's doors are closed.

Here’s five things to know about heading to the museum digitally:

  1. There are virtual tours of many different exhibitions including ones that were on display before the museum closed and previous exhibitions.
  2. There are also video tours with museum staff taking you through some of the exhibitions.
  3. The museum is doing a Facebook live every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11 a.m. explaining different exhibits in detail.
  4. There is also an “eLearning” section on their website featuring step by step lessons on different topics, as well as themed activities.
  5. You can also find some interactive 3D models of different artifacts to get a chance to see them up close.
