Rochester native Dudley Hart debuts on the Champions Tour at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in Endicott near Binghamton on Friday.

Newly 50 years old, Hart lost his PGA Tour Card after a series of back injuries and fusion surgeries. The last couple of seasons, Hart has entered a couple of Web.Com Tour events to keep his game in shape for the PGA Tour Champions circuit.

"I was born in Rochester but spent most of my early life in Buffalo and actually lived in Buffalo until about three years ago," said Hart at a press conference prior to the pro-am at En Joie. He added that he is expecting family and friends from the Rochester and Buffalo areas coming down to watch him play.

The three-round Dick's Sporting Goods Open begins Friday with Hart, Horseheads native Joey Sindelar and Rochester's Jeff Sluman, who co-owns Lake Shore Golf Club in Greece with Hart, among the local favorites.

Next May, Oak Hill Country Club hosts the Senior PGA Championship.
