The Florida Highway Patrol says a red-light runner hit and killed a 75-year-old woman in Spring Hill Sunday.
The accident occurred at Landover and Mariner Boulevards around 1:47 p.m.
Troopers say Gregory Gerard Sanchez, 26, crashed into Cecilia Diaz's 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer and killed her.
The FHP report says Diaz was turning left from Landover Boulevard onto Mariner Boulevard, when Sanchez's 2004 Ford Ranger's slammed into the left side of her car.
Diaz died at the scene and Sanchez suffered minor injuries.
The investigation continues.
There is no word yet on possible charges against Sanchez.
