Dolphin Tale 2 will be hitting the silver screen this weekend, at least a glimpse of it will.

The trailer started running in theatres Friday night, as a preview to “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”

The sequel continues Winter the Dolphin’s inspirational story and introduces the audience to her new friend, Hope. The movie was shot in Pinellas County, so several familiar sights from the Clearwater area and beyond can be seen in the trailer.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium CEO, David Yates says the movie is a postcard for Pinellas County tourism.

"We shot in basically 9 or 10 different areas," said Yates. "We shot in Tarpon Springs, we shot in Ft. Desoto, everywhere in between. We shot in Largo, we did shoot in the Bay News 9 studios."

The sequel showcases more area beaches and of course, Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Executive Producer, Bob Engelman says fans will be amazed underwater.

"We spent a lot of time, a lot of effort to really get into the dolphin’s world and the photography is off the charts," said Engelman.

While Winter and Hope steal the show, Rufus is also a favorite. You see the pesky pelican several times in the trailer and we’re told he has a bigger role in the sequel.

While the story line is different, the trailer suggests the sequel continues to inspire and give hope.

Dolphin Tale 2 is set to hit theatres September 19.
