Crist challenges rival Scott to ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Saturday, and now he's challenging his rival to do the same.

There was no immediate word from Gov. Rick Scott on whether he would participate in the challenge, which is raising awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Here's what Crist posted on his campaign Facebook page:

Thanks to my friend Dan Gelber (and his wonderful son, Max) for challenging me to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge -- and thanks to Oscar Braynon and Sen. Nan Rich for challenging me, too. Always nice to put aside campaigns for a good cause!
