If you are in the market for slightly used items from a nuclear power plant, this is your lucky week.

Duke Energy is holding an auction at its retired Crystal River plant. Officials will auction off a wide variety of new and used tools and equipment, ranging from cranes to hand tools.

According to Duke Energy officials, proceeds from the aution will directly benefit customers by reducing future billing associated with the nuclear plant.

Individuals or companies may view and inspect the tools and equipment Monday and Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Crystal River Energy Complex located at 15760 W. Power Line St. in Crystal River.

The live auction will occur Sept. 24 – 26, starting each day at 10 a.m., and consist of a dynamic webcast.

Individuals or companies may place bids in real time online or in person in the Magnolia room at the Plantation on Crystal River located at 9301 W. Fort Island Trail in Crystal River.  

Online or in-person registration is required for the live auction.
