The year 2014 was a wet one with near normal temperatures for Tampa Bay. 

Rainfall was almost one foot above normal: 2014 had 57.87 inches which is 11.57” above normal. 

The wettest day of the year was July 8 when early morning rain produced 4.48” at the airport with many reports of street flooding nearby.  Another wet day was November 25 with 3.65” of rain. This was the 19th wettest year since records began in 1890.

2014 marks the 4th year in a row of above normal rainfall.

But none of these years comes close to the top 5 wettest years for Tampa.

The average temperature for the year was 72.9 degrees. This is -0.5 below normal.  (Normal is based on the 30 year average.)
