The reward for a missing 15-year-old boy in Sarasota has increased to $50,000.

Jabez Spann has been missing since Sept. 4, 2017. He was last seen in the area of 22nd Street in Sarasota.

Sarasota police have received numerous tips and detectives remain in daily contact with Spann's family. Spann recently turned 15 on Dec. 13. His family said there will be no party or celebrating until he is found.

"I know my grandson. If he was capable of calling me, or coming home, he would have been here," said his grandmother Lucille Tillery.

It has been more than three months since Spann vanished. The investigation remains active and ongoing, but unfortunately there is no new information in the case at this time.

The FBI has contributed $44,000 to the reward money, along with FDLE contributing $5,000, and the Sarasota Police Department contributing $1,000, for a total of $50,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarasota Crime Stoppers at 1-941-366-TIPS (8477).
