After shutting down as Hurricane Irma passed over Florida, many transportation services are set to resume Monday night and on Tuesday across Central Florida.
Here's a breakdown of what airports and transportation services set to resume.
Airports
Orlando International Airport: The airport is phasing in limited commercial operations Tuesday. All passengers are advised to verify a confirmed seat assignment with their individual airlines before arriving at the airport.
Orlando Melbourne International Airport: The airport reopened Tuesday morning and is fully operational. The airfield, terminal, rental car center and restaurant (full menu) are open and staffed. Delta Air Lines resumed flights Tuesday. Due to storm impact in Charlotte, American Airlines flights resume Wednesday. Passengers are urged to contact their airlines and rental car companies before arriving at the airport.
Orlando Sanford International Airport: The airport is open, but there are NO scheduled commercial passenger flights operating Tuesday, Sept. 12. Passengers should not come to the airport Tuesday. Passengers should check with their airline about specific flight schedules for Wednesday and beyond.
Daytona Beach International Airport: The airport doesn't anticipate any scheduled flights for Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Transportation services
Votran: Normal Votran service in Volusia County will resume Tuesday with any necessary detours. Here are the routes that are in service as of Sept. 11.
LYNX: The bus service will be providing limited hourly service as of 6 p.m. Monday. LYNX is expected to return to full fixed-route and LYMMO operations on Tuesday.
SunRail: The commuter train service said via Twitter on Monday that service has been temporarily suspended. "We are assessing the damage along the corridor and will provide updates as soon as possible," the commuter said in a statement. However, Volusia County said on its website that SunRail routes in will be implemented Tuesday, Sept. 12, with normally scheduled Votran SunRail routes.
