ST. PETERSBURG -- It was a gorgeous day across the region with highs getting back into the 70s. The warming trend will continue into Wednesday, but we'll still have a relatively cool morning for this time of year.

  • Warming up
  • Lighter winds
  • Weak weekend front

Expect lows in the 50s from the Bay south, and 40s for northern counties. Skies will remain clear as the air mass is still very dry.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures getting back to the seasonal average in the low to mid 80s. Winds will be much lighter also, making for great outdoor conditions. Although the temperatures will be warmer the humidity will remain low, which is what makes this time of year totally different from the summer.

Wednesday night will be clear and pleasant with lows in the 60s and 50s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 80s.

A weak cold front will arrive Friday, but it will not change our temperatures much. It will however reinforce the drier air in our atmosphere. So instead of bringing us a rain chance it will just keep us pleasant for Friday and Saturday.

That front however will then stall and moisture will start to build along it by Sunday into early next week.

With that in mind we expect that some scattered showers Sunday afternoon and a better chance into Monday and Tuesday.
