A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder stemming from a drug transaction that turned violent.

Samuel Morrissey is accused of shooting and killing Grover Wills, 18, on April 15. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Morrissey met Wills at the Mobil Gas Station located at 612 West Lumsden Road in Brandon in order to sell marijuana to him. 

Deputies said Wills attempted to pay for the drugs using counterfeit money and when Morrissey became aware, he attempted to take the drugs back, at which point a struggle ensued and Morrissey shot Wills using a .38 caliber revolver. 

Deputies said Wills ran back to his car and an associate drove him to a local hospital where he later died. 

Morrissey admitted to deputies to shooting Wills. 

He was charged with 2nd degree murder.
