It's NFL draft day Buccaneer fans.

And there is a draft party tonight at Raymond James Stadium.

While the Bucs brass has to decide between the likes of DB Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama), S Derwin James (Florida State), G Quenton Nelson (Notre Dame) or CB Denzel Ward (Ohio State) with their 7th pick, fans can enjoy the party.

There will be tours of the locker room and even appearances by more than a dozen buccaneers players.

But with just hours to go before the draft begins, speculation is growing surrounding the Bucs and who they will pick in the first round.

There's also a lot of smoke screens and plenty of hype.

It's a crucial draft for Bucs' General Manager Jason Licht.

Buc fans have heard the rumblings that this could be his final year if things don't go well. In three of his first four years there have multiple trades in the first round. In year five, Licht said he hopes past experiences will serve him well in 2018.

"You know, lessons," Licht said about what he has learned about drafting as a GM. "You learn lessons every year. Sometimes you can fall in love with a player too much, too and mortgage your future and give up picks.

"We haven't done that yet, but I've restrained from doing that. So maybe, lessons, there's a lot of them, maybe too many of them to mention, but you learn every year. You grow. Try to get better."

MORE BUCS: With quarterback Jameis Winston entering fourth season, heat is on head coach Dirk Koetter and general manager Jason Licht to not only escape NFC South cellar but make playoffs for first time since 2007.

Top priority has been improving defensive and offensive lines. Licht addressed sagging pass rush by trading for former Giants sackmaster Jason Pierre-Paul and bolstered run defense by signing ex-Eagles Vinny Curry and Beau Allen in free agency.

Addition of ex-Ravens center Ryan Jensen, whose arrival frees Ali Marpet to move to left guard, is big, too.

Still, there are plenty more holes to fill, especially in secondary where CB Brent Grimes turns 35 in July and CB Vernon Hargreaves III, first-round draft pick two years ago, lost starting job last season.
