TAMPA -- An investigation is ongoing after a woman was struck and killed on 40th Street in Tampa Wednesday.

According to police, the crash happened just before 8 p.m.
The woman, whose name has not been released as of yet, was struck while crossing 40th Street near East Hanlon Street.
The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with police.
