NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- The driver accused of killing a bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash surrendered her vehcile to authorities on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

She surrendered a 2000 Toyota pickup truck to troopers hours after the crash.

According to an FHP report, the driver was driving south on Rowan Road at about 5:45 a.m. Her pickup truck collided with 46-year-old Shawn Michael Grady, who was riding a bicycle along Rowan Road.

Grady died at the scene.

The driver fled the scene before turning herself in hours later. Her pickup truck had damage that matched evidence from the scene of the crash, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
