HUDSON, Fla.-- A new X-ray system that will improve survival rates and recovery time is coming to Bayonet Point's Neuroscience Center.

  • New X-ray system at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point
  • Will help physicians diagnose and treat patients
  • Will give detailed real-time images

The machine is extremely detailed and can help physicians diagnose and treat a variety of neurological disorders with high precision and accuracy.

"With the addition of our Neuroscience Center we will have 24/7 Emergency Advanced Stroke care," said Sharon Hayes, Bayonet Point CEO.  "Every minute counts and the quicker we can detect and treat someone with a stroke, we can help save the brain."

The Innova IGS 630 system from GE Healthcare can view extremely detailed, real-time images of a patient’s head, neck and spine during a stroke and other neuro endovascular procedures.

The medical center says this will help physicians treat all patients, even the most challenging ones, safely and efficiently.
