TAMPA, Fla. -- Busch Gardens opening was delayed Thursday morning.

The park opened to guests around 10:30 a.m.

According to park officials, the delay was due to a scheduled Tampa Electric power outage.

Maintenance work was conducted overnight and there was a problem on the park’s side this morning, according to officials.

Officials did not detail the incident.

"(Park) Ambassadors are still working with TECO to get the affected areas restored as soon as possible," park officials tweeted.
