ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, along with a look at conditions into early next week.

Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with just an isolated chance of a thunderstorm. With a continued breeze from the west off the gulf it will remain warm and muggy, with lows not dropping past 80 near the coast and mid 70s inland.

That same west wind is what will again push scattered storms off the gulf and into coastal areas for Friday morning. They will have an eastward movement through the day, with most of them ending up inland east of I-75 by the afternoon to evening.

Highs will be in the upper 80s at the coast and low 90s inland.

That same pattern will hold for Saturday, but Sunday is the day the wind pattern will shift. The winds will come from the east, which will mean a sunny and dry morning, but a better coverage of late day storms.

It appears that wind pattern will hold into next Monday and Tuesday. Expect highs to be a couple of degrees hotter -- in the low 90s -- at that time.
