CORTEZ, Fla. -- The Coast Guard rescued two boaters Thursday after their vessel capsized about six miles west of Longboat Key.
Watchstanders received a call at 8:38 p.m. from Manatee County Dispatch stating that a boat was taking on water and that the people on board needed emergency assistance.
A crew located the boaters clinging to the hull of their 31-foot fishing boat, according to a Coast Guard News release.
Donald Swanson, 60 and Tonda Reeck, 62 were transported back to Coquina Boat Ramp.
No injuries were reported.
The boat was towed to Bradenton Beach.
