TAMPA, Fla. -- The Coast Guard, with the help of a good Samaritan, rescued three boaters Saturday after their boat capsized 12 miles west of Tampa.

The three men rescued, Raul Gutierrez, 40, Jorge Gutierrez, 51, and Jose Gari, 38, are all from Kissimmee. 

Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg was notified of the capsized boat around 8:21 a.m. and sent out an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast. 

A few minutes later, good Samaritans responded to the UMIB and located the capsized 20-foot boat and pulled the three people out of the water. 

The St. Pete Coast Guard response crew then located the boaters and transported them to Station St. Petersburg. 

Officials said no one was injured. 

"You can never underestimate the importance of our boating community," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Kristen Bachicha, watchstander at Sector St. Petersburg. "Thanks to today's good Samaritans and the close coordination between Sector and Station St. Petersburg we had a successful outcome."
