POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- An Osceola County Sheriff's dispatcher has been arrested and charged with DUI after he was found in an SUV stuck in a ditch, Polk deputies said.

Polk County deputies booked Michael Gonzalez, 39, of Kissimmee into the county jail but has posted $500 bond.

According to the Polk Sheriff's Office, deputies responding to a crash near Poinciana and Cypress parkways at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday found a Nissan Murano stuck in a ditch surrounded by water.

The vehicle had to be towed out of the ditch to get the driver out, who was later identified as Gonzalez.

Deputies said once he was out, Gonzalez displayed several signs of impairment.

Gonzalez told deputies he'd been a full-time Osceola County dispatcher for the past two years.

No other people or vehicles were involved in this incident.
