Police are working to solve the cases, and families like Jennifer Noble's want closure.

''He was the best daddy," said Noble, referring to her fiancé Mack Holloman. "I can't ask nobody to be the daddy that he was with my kids.”

Holloman was found dead in an alley on West Magnolia Street on June 8.

"It's not fair. They did this right before his daughter turned 19, before Father’s Day and before his birthday. Really? Over what? Nothing. He didn’t have no money. He was taking care of us. He didn’t have no extra money,” Noble said.

His death has left her heartbroken and homeless.

"He bought diapers, wipes, paid for the room, took us out to dinner. Now I’m stuck and struggling with two kids," Noble said.

She's hoping for answers saying that would help her sleep at night.

"To be honest with you, the person who did it needs to come forward because my kids need justice.

She said Holloman was released from prison on a drug charge in October. Noble said she was helping him fill out job applications so their family could live a better life.

Another unsolved case is Roderick Childs’. He was found dead in his apartment on Jan. 22. Police released a sketch in March of who they believe killed Childs. There haven’t been any updates from investigators since.

Then there's Lakeland’s latest homicide investigation involving 14-year-old Rex Honors. Police are not releasing any details about how he was killed.
