ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- An onshore wind pattern will be in place this week with high humidity along with increasing rain chances.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of evening showers and thunderstorms inland. Along the coast the chance drops to 20 percent.
Inland evening thunderstorms will end, then new thunderstorms will redevelop in the Gulf of Mexico, with coastal showers and thunderstorms possible late tonight and early Tuesday.
Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s inland to the low 80s near the coast.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of showers and storms.
The storms will start near the coast early then move inland through the day.
The southwest to west winds will increase during the week as a cold front settles into the southeast U.S.
Moisture will increase and our rain chances will go up to 50 percent to 60 percent Wednesday through Friday.
