BRADENTON, Fla. -- A 17-year-old pedestrian was hit and critically injured while walking along 57th Avenue East in Bradenton Friday evening.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Kalvin Denny, 17, was east of the marked crosswalk in the left eastbound lanes when a Hyundai Elantra struck Denny.
He was transported to Blake Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the Elantra, Deidra Turner, 25, was charged with hit and run.
No other information has been released.
