ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Storms will be possible overnight, coming in from the north.

  • Storms still possible overnight
  • Lows in the upper 70s, low 80s
  • Partly sunny skies on Monday

With high dew points, lows stay in the upper 70s to low 80s. There will likely be some showers and storms in the Gulf, and across Tampa Bay and South through Monday morning.

If the storms are few and far between, low temperatures will be higher.

The muggy, breezy pattern continues Monday. The upper level low to our north will move a little south into North Florida. The cold air aloft from this low may increase the strength of any storms, especially if some sun shows up during the day.

If the morning storms are widespread, we may not see much storm activity during the day.  Skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy, with breezy west winds. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s Monday. If morning storms are few and far between, then storms will be more likely in the afternoon.

Tuesday, southwest onshore wind will again create breezy conditions throughout the day, especially along the coast. High rain chances continue. Expect numerous showers and storms across our area.  Winds will be southerly to southwesterly keeping it muggy.

With a lot of clouds and rain, afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the onshore wind pattern continues.  Rain chances should drop a little as the upper low starts moving west and away from Florida.

We may return to a more typical summertime pattern by the end of next week with mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms. This pattern change will occur when winds return from the southeast, allowing for an afternoon sea breeze. Temperatures will move back into the low 90s for highs.
