ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Three people were arrested in Tampa Thursday morning after an armed robbery at a St. Pete apartment complex.

Officials say Javon Scott, 25, John Ellis, 27, and Jienna Williams, 28, robbed an apartment at Tamarind Bay Apartments just before 3 a.m. and led St. Pete police on a chase into Tampa. 

St. Pete officers followed the suspects across the Howard Franklin Bridge to the area near Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard, where the suspects crashed their car and ran. 

St. Pete police and Tampa police were able to locate and arrest the suspects. 

Scott, Ellis, and Williams are facing armed robbery charges in St. Pete. 

Scott is also facing a carrying a concealed weapon charge in Tampa. Ellis is facing charges of a felon in possession of a firearm, violation of probation, and fleeing and eluding in Tampa. Williams is facing an aggravated battery -- motor vehicle charge in Tampa. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
