TAMPA, Fla. -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has located the vehicle it says was involved in hit-and-run that left a bicyclist dead early Sunday.

Detectives said an unknown vehicle struck a bicyclist on 78th Street near the intersection with Eau Claire Circle between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

The bicyclist, identified as Johnny Arrington, 53, was pronounced dead on scene. 

On Sunday afternoon, deputies received a call about a truck in the parking lot at 6805 Adamo Drive possibly being related to the accident. The truck, a 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck has damage consistent with the debris located at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
